Last month I seem to get snowballed with bespoke orders for bridal accessories, but I wanted to blog about this one in particular for 2 reasons, the first is why the bride in question wanted bespoke bridal accessories, the second because this bride (like most of the others) was a pleasure to work with.
About a month ago I receive an email from Linda asking whether I could make a bespoke bracelet and earrings to match a necklace that she had already had. The necklace was her fiance’s late grandmothers and she couldn’t find anything to match it anywhere. The reason for this was probably the unusual shape of the crystal. She emailed me this photo so I could see for myself and I offered to see if I could find something similar.
I have to admit, it wasn’t a shape of Swarovski crystal I was familiar with and I was also aware that since this was an old necklace this crystal shape was probably discontinued, but I continued searching and after spending hours on the internet, I’d found a shape of crystal similar to the ones in her necklace and located a supplier in the states. I emailed Linda with front and side images of the crystal and advised they weren’t an exact match. She was more than happy to go ahead with her bespoke bridal accessories, I’ve posted the images below.

Hi Kerrie,
Just wanted to say a HUGE! Thank you for my bespoke earrings and bracelet I have received. They are in a word “stunning”.
Although they are slightly different from the necklace you have done a wonderful job of matching something you haven’t seen and even more so an item that is well over 50 years old!.
All three items look great together. I almost wish my wedding was this week so I can wear them.
So once again, thank you for your hard work and helpfulness. I would not hesitate in recommending you.
With best regards,
Linda.
Hi Linda
Sorry I missed your phone call but thanks for taking the time to write on the blog. I’m really pleased that you like the bracelet and earrings, It was nice working with a different shaped crystals than usual, it enabled me to learn new things and overcome a few obstacles along the way. It’s been great working with you and I hope you have the most wonderful wedding day but more importantly a very very happy and long marriage.
All the best
Kerrie G
What a wonderful idea to use such an old piece of jewellery and have matching items custom-made.
I love this idea, I’m going to speak to my mum and see if I can use one of her necklaces for my wedding day and see if I can get my other pieces of wedding jewellery created to match.
