Wedding Fair – Samlesbury Hall Lancashire

Wedding And Gems owner Kerrie G will be showcasing some of the newer tiaras and wedding jewellery from the store at the Samlesbury Hall Wedding Fayre.  Samlesbury Hall is an extremely popular wedding venue in Lancashire and sets the scene perfectly with it’s rich history dating back to the year 1325.

Pearl Tiaras – What is your favourite

While I’ve been away on holiday I’ve taken the time to actively promote my tiaras and jewellery from Wedding and Gems, one of the ways I have done this is by using Squidoo.  Have you heard of it? Until last week I had never heard of Squidoo so I decided to have a go at creating a lens on a few of our best selling pearl tiaras.  The squidoo concept is unique in that members can rate lenses, interact with them and like a blog leave comments.

In my first lens I listed a small number of pearl tiaras that I had created, with a little information about each one.  You can rate these pearl tiaras here – Three Gorgeous Pearl Tiaras.

My plan is to use Squidoo to gain feedback from brides like yourself to ensure that I am offering bridal accessories that you are looking for on a site that is optimised for your enjoyment, not just for google.

I have to admit that I’ve got a little hooked on created lenses, it’s just so much fun and I’ve even create a squidoo group for all things wedding related.  I’m determined to create more lenses to show case Wedding And Gems tiaras and wedding jewellery.  So if you have a particular product on our site that you want to see featured on a squidoo lens, then feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll see what I can do.

Wedding and Gems – Holidays

I’m actually away on my family holidays (it’s half term) but as usual I’ve been unable to drag myself away from Wedding And Gems.  So as a compromise I’ve left my tiara and jewellery making materials and tools at home and I’ve been allowed to bring my laptop so I can keep an eye on things.

I’ve only been away a few days and already I’m itching to create tiaras and wedding jewellery, so instead I’ve been sat with a pen and paper designing new bridal accessories.  Unfortunately you’ll have to wait a few weeks for me to create them as I’ll be busy with orders as soon as I get home.

Speaking of orders for wedding tiaras and jewellery, the sites been a lot busier than I expected for this time of year, so I’ll take this opportunity to say thank you for your business and very kind words.  I get so much satisfaction from brides who contact me after receiving their wedding tiaras or jewellery (and in many cases both) just to say how beautiful they are and how they can’t wait to wear them on their wedding day.

For those of you that have yet to buy your bridal accessories, feel free to contact me and get to know me a little.  Your wedding day is important and I would like the necessary task of chosing your bridal accessories to be an enjoyable and satisfying experience.

Sales on Bridal Accessories

Here at Wedding and Gems were having a short sales on all our bridal accessories. You may be asking about the reason behind this sale? Is it to get rid of old stock? No we don’t actually have any, most of our bridal accessories are handmade to order, so your guaranteed brand new items that are literally hours old if you’ve chosen one of our many handmade products.

So the reason why Wedding And Gems are having a sale?

It’s to celebrate our second birthday. So we thought we’d take the time to thank all our previous brides and offer those brides to be something as well.

New Wedding And Gems

I’m in the process of updating the tiara and jewellery shop side of Wedding and Gems. The script that the shop using to function has been upgraded which will make it possible for me to add many more functions such as a gift wrapping service and a more personalised service for my brides.

My aim was to create a new Wedding and Gems site that is easier to navigate and include the function to enable customers to leave reviews of the tiaras and jewellery that they have purchased. I originally had this function but it was lost when I changed to the previous template but with a little more code and a new template customers are now able to leave a review of their products.

These changes have also allowed me to reinstate that contact form which was originally on the site. This had to be removed due the amount of spam I was receiving (up to 100 emails a day).

As you can see the bare bones of the new Wedding And Gems site have been laid down but I’m more than happy to be influenced by my customers and will adapt the website to make it a more pleasant shopping experience. So if you have any thing you want to see on the site, this is the time to let me know. I want to make the site as easy as possible for my customers to navigate, find information and purchase tiaras or wedding jewellery.
