New Bridal Collection - Blossom

I’m constantly creating new products for Wedding And Gems, sometimes I’m inspired to create a new tiara or a pair of earrings. This time however the crystal tiara I created inspired me to create an entire new bridal collection - The Blossom Bridal Collection.

The Blossom Bridal Collection is created solely from Swarovski crystals in either clear or clear AB on silver or gold coloured wire. The waved effect of the wire gives the Blossom Bridal Collection a romantic and soft feel.

The wedding tiara, crystal hair pin and bridal earrings all have a metal base where as the Blossom necklace and bracelet are created on invisible wire so dance along the skin.

The Blossom Wedding Hair Pin is great for brides or bridesmaid who want to add a little sparkle to their hair and can be used again and again making it excellent value for money.

For those brides who still like to wear the traditional wedding head wear, a tiara, the Blossom Wedding Tiara is light and comfortable to wear because of it’s handmade base. The waves of the wire add detail and texture topped with Swarovski crystal for the ultimate sparkle.

Marie and Her daughters tiaras

A few months ago Marie contacted me to create something special for her daughters (bridesmaids) to wear for her wedding, she had already chosen dusky pink dresses and wanted bridesmaids tiaras to have just a touch of pink to tie in.  Marie liked the design on the Pearl Cascade Tiara but wanted something a little more simple.  So between us we designed the Marie Wedding Tiara.  You can see the image below.

Marie chose the Crystal and Pearl Bridal Tiara for herself and was a pleasure to work with.  It’s also been great catching up with her on facebook and seeing the photo’s of the fantastic honeymoon she had in Paris. She’s sent me a few pictures to share with you and I’m sure you’ll agree they all looked fantastic on her wedding day.

Congratulations Marie and Phil

Cats Wedding Hair Vine

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a bride to be who asked me to create a bridal hair vine for her wedding day.  Cat had a very clear idea of the type of wedding vine she wanted and I’ve written a previous blog post which can be read here  - Bridal Hair vines.  Cat’s hair vine was the one shown in the bottom photo.

Cat sent me a few photos of her wedding day and she’s allowed me to share them with you.  As you can see her hair dresser has done a fantastic job with her bridal hair.  Cat had also added frosted leaves to her hair which I think was a fantastic idea.

Cat’s style was simple and elegant which you can see from the image below.  Her choice of a hair vine over a tiara helped with her relaxed fun theme.

A variation on Cat’s hair vine can be found here - Cat Crystal Hair Vine.  This hair vine has been created with clear AB beads in the place of frosted clear beads which was Cat’s choice.  If you want a bespoke bridal accessory created for you, contact me using the contact form and we can discuss your ideas and work within your budget.

Red Wedding Tiara and Jewellery

More and more western brides are choosing to get married in red, whether this is as subtle as a red wedding tiara and matching red jewellery or the high impact scarlet red wedding dress too. Recently I’ve seen in huge increase in orders for tiaras and jewellery which are accented in red crystals or beads.

In the east it is the cultural norm to get married in red, it symbolises passion and love, in the west our traditional colours are white or ivory which symbolises purity.  For those brides who perfer the traditional white / ivory but want to incorporate a hint of red, the easiest way to do this is in their wedding tiara and jewellery.  Below is a photo of some of the bridal accessories recently created in red.

The red bridal accessories shown in the photo above are Crystal Tiara 022, Crystal Bridesmaids Earrings, Simply Crystal Wedding Necklace, and Alice Wedding Hair Pins.  All this bridal accessories have been created with light Siam Swarovski crystal.

Wedding And Gems most popular wedding jewellery set is also red.  The Pearl and Red Drop Necklace and Bracelet is perfect for those brides on a budget and can be seen below.

If you’ve had a look through the website you will have noticed that most of the handmade bridal accessories have the option of being created with red accents. For example the Crystal Tiara 002 was originally created in Indolite crystals for Anita and you can read the blog post here - Bespoke Tiara for Antia.

As always if you’ve seen something you like but you need it slightly different, just contact me to discuss what you need and I’m sure I can help.

Bespoke Wedding Hair Vines

Already twice this week I’ve had brides contact me to create bespoke hair vines for them and when they’ve sent photos of how they’re planning on wearing their hair on their wedding day, it’s clear why they want a hair vine and not a tiara.  There are plenty of brides who are still choosing a tiara for their bridal head wear but more and more are opting for a hair vine.  Wedding hair vines are very flexible, they can be twisted into a lose bun, a messy up do or wrapped into a boho style which is so popular this year.  Hair vines are fun, you can create so many different styles with them and if you want to keep your accessories low key, then along with wedding hair pins or grips they are definitely the way to go.

One of the bridal hair vines I created this week was for a bride who was getting married in Cyprus, it was only then that I realised how perfect hair vines were for a relaxed wedding in a warm sunny climate.  This bride had a clear idea what she wanted and you can see part of the wedding hair vine created below.

The other bride who contacted me this week also had an picture of her dream bridal hair vine.  Unfortunately the picture was taken from a magazine and too small to see the hair vine clearly.  So we discussed how we could take elements of the design and create it into something perfect for her.  As usual, I sent her a photo of the hair vine to make sure she was 100% happy with it before I posted it out.  She showed that photo to her hair dresser and she bought one too.  You can see this hair vine below.

If you were thinking about choosing a hair vine over a tiara, decide on how you will be wearing your hair on your wedding day as this will determine the length of hair vine you need.  The website offers a number of different lengths but if length of hair vine isn’t available on the site just contact me using the contact form to discuss your requirements and I’ll create a hair vine to a perfect length for your hair style.
