Many couples choose to give their bridesmaids wedding jewellery to wear on the day which also doubles up as their bridesmaids gift. But do your bridesmaids deserve a separate gift? Well if money was no object then it would be great to get them jewellery to accessorize their bridesmaids outfits and then a separate present but for many couples it’s an area where they can save money so they double up th bridesmaids jewellery as their bridesmaids gift. So as a couple if you decide that this is an area where you can save on your wedding budget should you feel bad?
Well that depends, are you planning to give the ushers and the best man cuff links to wear on the day or something funny like novelty boxer shorts and then still give them another gift at the wedding reception? If the answers yes, then there shouldn’t be a double standard for the bridesmaids, just like the men they deserve something extra too. If the only gift your ushers and best man gets is the one given to them at the wedding reception to say thank you then it’s perfectly acceptable to give your bridesmaids wedding jewellery to wear on the day and make reference to it at the wedding reception instead of giving them a separate bridesmaids gift.
Weddings are one of those occasions where you can easily insult someone by not thinking things through so if in doubt ask yourself would I be offended it I received wedding jewellery as my bridesmaid gift? And you’ll find you have your answer.
Now be honest if you typed “crystal wedding jewellery” into Google what type of wedding jewellery were you expecting to find, picture A or B?
The bracelet in picture A is created from what I call diamantes, others may call theses rhinestones, or crystal stones, the bracelet in picture B is created from crystal beads, however they are also just known as crystals. If you search under “Crystal Wedding Jewellery” you’ll find both types of jewellery because both of them are referred to as crystal jewellery.
Those in picture A might not be actually be created from crystals, but could be glass or resin. But those in B should have enough information in their product listing to name the brand of crystal that is used (mine do) as they tend to be handmade. This means the designer should know the manufacturer of the crystal beads or at least their country of origin so there will be no doubt as whether they are true crystals.
If you’re getting frustrated at having to search through thousands of pages of “crystal wedding jewellery” online but know you’re definitely looking for either crystal jewellery created from stones (picture A) or crystal jewellery created from beads (picture B). Then try these other search terms to get more specific results.
So when you clicked to read this post what were you expecting to see, jewellery made from stones (picture A) or those made from beads (picture B)? feel free to leave your comments below.
Usually while I’m shopping online for crystals or sterling silver clasps I come across other beads or components which spark a new wedding jewellery design. But because I have to wait for them to arrive in the post by the time they reach me I’m just not as motivated any more so they sit with the rest of my beads and I look at them every time I get the crystals out for a new order and think “I really should get round to making that!”.
Well now I’m caught up with all the orders from the site and I had a spare few hours I finally made the pieces of wedding jewellery I designed ages ago.
The Madison Wedding Necklace and Bracelet are created with Swarovski crystals and sterling silver twist which make these pieces of wedding jewellery sparkly and dainty. Perfect for a bride with a smaller frame and one who likes to keep jewellery to a minimal.
You can see images of both the necklace and bracelet below. Clicking on the images will also take you to their products pages so you can learn more information such as crystal colour and length.
I hope you like these new pieces of wedding jewellery, hopefully I’ll be designing more in the near future. Last week I designed the Molly Wedding Jewellery collection with crystals and seed beads so if the shine of the sterling silver doesn’t pull you in maybe the sparkle of the seed beads will.
Yesterday I was feeling a little creative and create a new jewellery range called Molly Crystal Wedding jewellery. The range comprises of a necklace, bracelet and earrings. As you probably can guess the main component in this wedding jewellery range is crystals, Swarvoski crystals to be exact and their stunning sparkle is enhanced with silver lined seed beads. This set of Molly Crystal Wedding Jewellery is create with Clear AB crystals but the jewellery is also available with Clear crystals.
