We’ve ended up with lots more designs of bridal hair accessories this week at Wedding and Gems. It was accidental really. I’ve haven’t design any thing new for the site for a week or so as I’ve been busy creating the new website and fixing the problems the previous one had. But I woke up a few days ago itching to create something, I woke up with new hair accessory designs already forming in my head, so after taking my son to school, I settled myself down in what my husband humorously calls the wedding workshop.

After finishing my first design, the Small Funky Crystal Flower, a hair grip decorated with silver plated wire and clear crystals, I had a urge to play with the texture and size of the hair accessory, from that came the Funky Bridal Flower Accessories. But if your a creative person whether like to draw, design or like to take simple materials and create something stunning out of them, you’ll know that once that creative bug strikes, the only thing you can do is ride it out, so I just keep creating new hair accessories.

I’ve been trying out different shapes of crystals lately, and in the Garden Crystal Hair Accessory you’ll see a combination of oval crystals, butterfly crystals which are a favourite of mine and bi-cone crystals. It’s a dainty design, with a romantic feel and I think this is mainly due to the oval shaped crystals and the gentle curves of the butterfly wings.

The oval crystals feature again as True Flower Wedding Accessories. The crystal are really smooth to the touch, almost with a silky feel. This creative session was the first time I had handled this shape of crystal and i have to admit I love the feel of them and loved working with them. I have jewellery designs that have yet to be handmade but these crystals feature heavily in them.
